Dorothy and I went for a motor-drive with the Colonel. (His birthday). We went to Lough Neagh & got a lovely view of the lake a little below Glenavy […]. An old woman came out […] and gave D. & me a rose & then showed us a walk along the shore. She was a very interesting old woman, & so nice to talk to – the sort one would never see in England.
