Matron sent a message along that she thought there was so much work in the evenings that the V. A. D were never to get off from 5-8 any more, only in the mornings or the afternoons. This was an awful blow as the 5-8 time was much coveted and both Mrs Fitz P. and I felt very indignant and depressed.
