Paid bills & did accounts & found £1 over. Here ends my 1st year in Downpatrick. Many great blessing have been given me, my dear little chicks are all in good health, & are full of promise.

We have made a good many new friends & feel wonderfully at home with our surroundings, still I feel the loss of my darling husband as much as ever & I realize more & more how changed life is to me & that this world can never be so bright again. I thank God with all my heart for all His goodness to me. May He Bless me & mine throughout the coming year.
