Bronagh McAtasney

A Teenage girl growing up in Newry during the Troubles

I was nice & early to Mass today with Ethna. [...] Tonight Mummy permed my hair. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be. It’s nice & curly although it was nicer when it was wet. It feels lovely and thick. I don’t know how long it will last. [...] The Police are on my tape now - just finished de dodo, do, De de, de, da [...] That’s all now.

Time; 1.28am
