Today we actually seen the Pope, really close*. We went to a Papal audience & it was fantastic […] I took some v. nice photographs & I hope they turn out. Miss C. hired a Vatican photographer anyway […] We went up to St Peters which was great & then we went shopping.

Tonight we went out for another walk, got lovely ice-cream & finished off by doing the Can-Can (even Fr J), the birdie song, the Hokey-Cokey and Auld Lang Syne.
