New Recipe book in the making for Our Food, Our Place programme participants

During the Spring, the PRONI team delivered this mouth watering virtual engagement programme for the 100 Shared Stories strand of Making the Future.

Our Food, Our Place brought together 11 participants from minority ethnic and religious backgrounds to share their stories of migration and life in Northern Ireland.

Over the course of five weeks, the group shared family stories, recipes, and music and took part in a cooking demo with chef Ellie Kisyombe, founder of Our Table in Dublin, a social enterprise which aims to create a connected and inclusive community through food.

Their recipes, music, and stories are currently being turned into a Recipe Book which will be available in print and digital formats. Can't wait to see it!
