Troubles Art Community Engagement Programme

Art has often provided the most profound and critical responses to conflict.

The Troubles in Northern Ireland are no exception.

National Museums NI has selected a range of challenging and evocative artworks from its collections to go on tour, with an exhibition at the Irish Linen centre & Lisburn Museum in May and June.

Registration is now open for a free programme to further explore the exhibition and its subject matter. Over a six week period you will:

  • Meet the artists behind the artworks
  • Visit the Ulster Museum in Belfast
  • Watch and review exclusive film screenings
  • Respond creatively through creative writing and your own art

Duration: six weeks beginning 28 May 2019

Register: Contact Community Engagement Officer Donal McAnallen - donal.mcanallen@nmni.com or 02890395083/07393798887
